I'm pretty happy with this little wet-dry vacuum. It lives up to my expectations for Shop-Vac brand -- powerful suction, no-frills design. At 3.0 peak horsepower, it lifts stuff that my 5hp Eureka has never been able to lift. For a Shop-Vac, it's very quiet (no louder than any other household vacuum I've ever owned). The cord is a decent length for a household vacuum. I'm not thrilled with the floor attachment, it's a sort of dual-purpose brush for hard floors and carpeting. It works okay for carpeted surfaces but I'm unwilling to use it on a smooth floor, as I think it's likely to scratch the surface. Since the vacuum wands are standard size, I simply use the floor attachments from the vacuum that this one replaces, and all is fine.
Other reviewers have mentioned issues with assembling the vacuum, specifically the wheels. When mine arrived, the wheels were already installed, either at the factory or by the vendor. The only assembly I had to do was drive 4 phillips-head screws to attach the wheeled base to the vacuum body -- a trivial and easily accomplished task.
Other reviewers also mentioned issues with the plastic attachments building a static charge and having to be cleaned after use -- I also find this to be true, but this is an issue with every vacuum I've ever seen that has plastic attachments and plastic hoses, and it's just not that big a deal to me.
I do feel the wands (2 of them) are a little short -- again, I use the longer wands from my older vacuum, and everything is fine.
Given the low price (about $70) compared to other vacuums, I think this model is a pretty good deal.
