Customer Review: Tiny, but great suction! Easy to use! Perfect for quick jobs!

WET DRY VAC. Small, cheap, great suction - use with or without paper filters. OK, it's a cheapy, so don't expect miracles. Loud, but not obscenely so. Hard to clean out (without the paper filter bags) but can be done (vacuum out with another vac if needed.) Of course, without the bags the filter gets trashed real quick and has to be replaced. Bags are expensive, at about $3.50 each, with shipping, but CONVENIENCE is what a this product is about. On the plus side, is very light and easy to handle. PERFECT for what it's made for, quick light jobs, like a cardiac cleaning with company on the way, or pet hair, debris, etc, in corners, under cabinets, and along edges of flooring, or a spill. (YES, you'll want to glue the hose connection to the tank.) Only thing we'd like to see included is a long wand for reaching corners, cobwebs, etc, but we use one we have from another vacuum.Customer Review: At Target (on Amazon) for $19.00!! Mine is about a year old and I think there has been a re-design because some features have changed. Some of this may not be apllicable to the new one.
on the pluse side
-tiny, this thing is super puny and a breeze to cart around
-good suction esp. for it's size.
-not to loud, not >super< quiet, but not bad at all.
-very easy to cart around
I am a contractor and use this for small jobs inside peoples homes, it fits right in the top of my 5 gallon tool bucket.
-did I mention it is tiny, so much less hassle then lugging out the big shop vac
The Bad
the clips to hold bottom to top are not all that great and come apart
the hose attaches in an odd and inconvinient way, and mine came off sometimes until I glued it
the filter is a bit of a pain to clean

Space is an issue for me. So is cleanliness. Why does this vac stink? Because the motor is less than an inch from the walls of the dirt canister. If you've used a shop vac & know how dirt packs to the filter, you may as well empty it on your floor & vac it all back up again. Putting the entire vac in the trash receptacle, then removing the top is the cleanest you can get with this. The hose doesn't unscrew; it slides between the top & bottom.The side tabs that lock are very tight; so tight that one snapped off, so I couldn't send it back. If you want a REALLY good small shop vac, go with the All Around. It may *seem* expensive, but when you get this vac, you'll kick yourself. A dustbuster would be better/easier.
Sorry ShopVac- you failed with this pain in the butt.

I used to lug a 16 gallon vac around the garage, just because I wanted all that suction power. But this little guy almost rivals that. It really works great, and as I've always said, sometimes you can't make everyone happy. The power is great, the size perfect, and the price right. It may be a little messy cleaning it out, but I do it over a trash can, and it's fine. I also use the paper sleeves that go over the foam filter, to make cleanup even easier. For around $3 for a pack of 3, they last a long time. I only don't give it 5 stars because the hose is expensive to replace. My wife stepped on our old one and cracked the end. Rather than spend about $15 with shipping on just a hose, I just bought another vac. I had the old one for about 5 years, and it's really been great.
